Lateral Line Disease

Does anyone have any tips to help a Hippo Tang get some relief from lateral line disease. I was forced to move the tank twice while moving into my new house, and he has been really stressed out. I have been feeding him seaweed, brine shrimp and a vitamin green flake food. The tank has been kept at perfect water conditions, and it has now been in the same spot for one month. Is there any medication, or special treatment that I could use to help him out?

Nobody really knows for certain. It's likely from stress, whether that be from having an inadequate diet for a long period of time or having poor water conditions, or being crowded. Tangs and Angels seem to be more prone to it......... Make sure you're feeding some fresh and frozen foods and something like Zoecon with Omega 3 Fatty Acids to their food. I know it takes awhile to cure too, months if you have a bad case.

You can try soaking his food in Selcon. I've heard that it's got just about everything as far as vitamins and fatty acids. I used it when I soaked all my nori strips and the tang just ate it up like it was going out of style.
