My latz is tiny. But he is from good stock and he will grow. My replacement latz is scheduled for tomorrow. I will take pics when he arrives. They will be lost in a 300 until they double in size.
They would definitely get lost in a 300 gallon tank. I easily lose sight of mine for awhile in my 45 cube with nothing else in it. They are only about 3/4" in length at the moment.
I picked a pair up as well - landed Sat. morning. They are doing great. They started off eating a little slow, but tonight was a real good feeding.
Maximus - really nice to see yours a couple months older. They fill out quicker than I would have thought.
I hope you guys have screens on top - I know I do. I know several guys lose a latz to carpet surfing (rep as jumpers). I cleaned the glass for the first time tonight and they were certainly more skidish than other clown breeds. It made me put the screen back on while I ran the mag float - never felt like I had to do that before.
JJ, I definitely have the lid on the top of my tank as much as possible so they can't jump and I made sure to put some filter floss in the overflow so I don't lose them that way. For the most part they stay near the bottom of my tank which is the perfect place if you ask me.
