LED dont grow sps

I see a lot of people on forums claiming they get better growth from their sps from LEDs after switching from T5 and Halides.

Are they for real?

Or are these delusions how they cope with taking down the best lighting for sps ever invented and replacing with over priced diodes that provide subpar results?

Anyone know when the LED fad will end ?
