I have a 36" mixed coral reef tank. Need new lights. Am considering new Current marine pro or used 2 yr old maxspect R420r 180K . Thoughts please.

I would get a new Reefbreeders before I bought an older model of something else. Two year old LEDs are more out of date than a car from the 1960s... not really, but close.

I wouldn't buy a Current to light anything.

If the Maxspect is a great deal and you like the features, I'd go for it.

jda is a bit sarcastic, but yeah, a 2 year old led fixture is about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way to old age. I ran Reef Breeders for 6 years and they still work just fine, but my old tank broke, I downsized and they didn't fit the new tank. The new RB Photon V2 is really nice and is very strong in the cost vs quality discussion.
