LED Module Comparison - ReefBrite / Illumilux / TrueLumen Pro

I am about an hour away from SEA U MARINE where this is located. The tank originally had a sfilgoi 10? bulb HOt5 system when it was first started. It then was replaced with the illumina 200 i believe and a pair of 2 bulb aquactinics t5s which has now been replaced with 2 illimilux blues to supplement the illumina

I think its older than 10 months now. However that I am not positive on. I purchased my 2 illumilux 4 foot fixtures from SUM and will be picking up the illumina 260 either later this week or late next week

Jeremy,
I have heard that these lights will work with the celebra, do we know when those will be available and will you have them at macna this year?

Have you heard anything about the RD3 pumps or vertex version?

Hello Jeremy, I have been enjoying the Reefbrite 48" blue LED that I purchased from you a while back. Now I see that there are XHOs coming out! I also see the Vertex Illumilux strips are looking really good as well. Here is my question: I have saved up money to purchase the 48" ATI Powermodule w/ lights. Seeing that LED technology is still very expensive, should I get it or maybe save a while longer and go with 3 48" Illumilux strips for 90 gallon SPS tank?

I really like the Illumina fixtures but good lord $2500+ for a 48" fixture!

That's completely up to you on when you want to jump into LED's. I usually tell most people to just do it, and quit waiting on the price drops. IF you look over the last 5yrs, the good LED fixtures (the higher end units) have only gotten more expensive actually!

3 x Illumilux on your 90g should be just fine for sps.

Thanks, I just don't like the uncertainty of it SHOULD be enough for SPS when I KNOW that I will be able to keep SPS all over the tank with a PowerModule. I would just be missing the shimmer. Thanks again, when I go all LED I want to get one of the good fixtures and they are just out of reach financially right now. Illumina!

I picked up the illumina 260 to go along with the 2 illumilux strips I have, It was a lot of money but look at the big picture, your saving money on hydro which in canada is going through the roof and bulbs, These fixtures will pay themselves off in less than 3 yrs

I'm glad that you are able to afford such things and have the luxury to see things in that way. As for me I have to watch everything that I spend and am already working two jobs just to have the little extra to stay in his hobby and spending $2500+ for the vertex illumina is notin the cards for me when I can grow anything I want for $800 which I had to save up to even have that!
