Led / t5 design ideas?

Hello,

I'm trying to plan my next upgrade to a 180g rimless tank. Dimensions are 72x24x24. I would like to go with some kind of floating hood w/ an led t5 combo that will grow pretty much anything.

I would appreciate some ideas or pointers. I'm trying to design everything out before I start purchasing.

My current idea....

3 x rapid led dual aurora pucks
4 x 60" t5's

Thought about running 2 t5's on front / back and the pucks spaced evenly down the center. Thoughts?

Thoughts on t5 ballast or type to go with?

Thoughts on aurora pucks? Any other led suggestions?

Any ideas on a floating canopy?

Any pics of anyone's similar setup?

I have two single aurora pucks over my 75, with 1 T5 on either side (currently running ATI blue+ on both sides).

So far, I have LPS & softies exploding with growth. SPS is a little slow but I also have nutrient issues I'm working on.

I'm also working on a 200gal system at work... tank is 5' long and I have lighting setup similar to my 75, except more of it....

Two AI Hydras centered over each half of the tank, with 2 T5s on either side (total of 4 bulbs). Current bulb set is 1 ATI AquaBlue Special and 1 actinic on either side of the LEDs. If I think about getting some pics in the morning I'll post them later tomorrow.

nice... have you ever measured the par / pur on that setup?

Consider the Cree Lumia 5.2 over the Aurora. I considered the aurora at first but changed my mind after reading so many good reviews on the Crees.

Have not measured PAR/PUR on either tank. 200 gallon is cycling and has no coral yet, the color options are endless though with the hydras and options for bulb colors with the T5s.

I am building a 220G mixed reef and I will be using 3 G2 Radions. I am going to add these to the front and back to reduce any shadows and some color.
