LemonPeel Feeding?

ca1ore

Grizzled & Cynical
Bought a LemonPeel for my FOWR. In QT currently. Refusing all foods offered, including the almost foolproof choices (brine, ova, LRS). Anyone got any clever ideas. I may have to move it into my invert QT that contains live rock this weekend if things don't turn around.

Dumb question but have you tried NLS pellets?? I've got two fish and that's all they'll eat other than picking on the rocks, but for some reason they really attack the NLS pellets.

Have you tried Nori or any algae? I read that this angel eats more of it than others.

What's LRS? Did you see the fish eat anything at the LFS before you purchased it? If you haven't already you might want to buy some clams or mussels at the supermarket and throw one of those in the tank for it to pick at. (hopefully) Lemonpeel angels are notoriously picky eaters IME. GL.

Search LRS Fish Frenzy. It's a great product of frozen mixture has alot of variety of great meaty nutritous foods such as oyster ovarian tissue and many others

Not a dumb question at all - in fact, no, I have not tried pellets. good suggestion. Nori is ignored.

After blithely ignoring each and every kind of food offered, I gave up and moved this fish into my invert QT. Picked at the rocks for a day or so, and now has started accepting mysis and ocean plankton.

Invert QT is a pest infested mess, but has proven quite helpful in acclimating leopard wrasses in the past. Now a LemonPeel.
