Thanks Panic. You're right, they really do

When I'm searching for new corals I always look close for new A. Millepora's.
I'm using Balling for more then a week now, and I already see a difference in my aquarium. Growth has increased much more.
I think the increase is the result of the higher pH. When I used a Ca-Reactor, the pH was 7.8-8.1 Especially at night it was difficult to keep the pH up, even with the use of a Kalkwasser Reactor.
Right now I keep my pH easily above 8.1 (8.1-8.2) so calcification is easier for the corals. I still use My Kalkwasser Reactor hooked up to a pH-controller to be sure I don't overdose. If the controller fails for one reason, only 10 gallon of kalkwasser can be dripped in, because my RO storage is not bigger then that (on purpose)
Because I use Balling now I also don't have to worry about phosphates that enter the tank in the Ca-Reactor effluent. (although that can be filtered out)
I ordered 4 bags of Korallenzucht Aragonit Sand, because of the grain size (3-4 mm) I hope it withstands the flow better then regular sized LiveSand.
Before I put in the sandbed, I will finally arrange the rockwork. When it's all done, I will post some new FTS.
