Leonardo's Lagoon

I have no idea, I could make it for you  Unfortunately I live in Europe.....

I'll make a detailed build tread for the refugium when I begin :)

That would be much appreciated!

I always loved the formosa forest. But this lagoon you have here is awsome, you've outdone yourself. Cant wait to see more of it.

Leo you think having a cryptic fuge requires more room than one that requires plants which photos.. photosynthezsize ph.. phoooo

p pp phhhh use light?

This is why people need to lay off the fragging and let things be! All the live rock people jam into their tanks is just awful. Your scape will eventually be almost nothing but corals while others are almost constantly upgrading because there their aquariums are filled with a a bunch of frags and tons of live rock. You have one of the most natural tanks I have seen. Something everyone could learn from!

Thank you Cody Ray for the kind words, I totally agree with you.

Reefer08; Cryptic refugiums don't need light, it is even dangerous for sponges. Diatoms, cyanobacteria and algae can suffocate the sponges and slow their growth.

Versus; Because most (but not all) fast propagating sponges are encrusting filter feeders, not much room is needed. Surface area is much more important. That's why I came up with the bee-hive idea.

Reefer08, I dose it for a few years now, I already dosed it in my Formosa Forest.
In that time I noticed an increase in growth and volume of the sponges.

I found an old and a newer picture:

See the red Dragon pump for size comparison :)

I now dose 0.25 gram of creatine per day. The TM Reef-Actif also seems to feed the sponges btw.

Thanks Moses and LUVSPS for your compliment! :)

What is the shiny material in the background and what's it's purpose?:D

Just found this thread toady, and was a great read. I am really digging the new tank configuration and sand bed. You have given me a lot of things to think about on my next build.

Leonardo- You have a great looking tank. I have been following your thread but been mute. I have to ask, are you dosing the kind of creatine you buy for sports? Are you dosing 100% pure creatine? And how are you dosing? Im just curious as I have a cryptic zone thats in my sump for filter feeders. I have powerheads in there to keep detrius suspended though so I dont know if the high turnover rate makes it hard for filter feeders to thrive or not. I mainly went this route so my skimmer would stay cleaner on the inside instead of growing algae everywhere.
