Leopard wrasse from liveaquaria

I know these are very difficult fish and them living depends on if you buy a healthy specimen, so would it be safe to order one from LiveAquaria? I don't trust the lfs near me for a fish like that. Thanks

LA Divers den has some of the healthiest difficult fish available.

Others may dis agree but I would suggest a proactive treatment of metronidazole, which has dramatically improved my luck with all wrasses, and I'm 1 for 1 with leopards since starting this routine.

I think you definitely get a leg up on keeping a difficult fish sourced from Divers Den - well worth the premium IMO. I have not found the quality of fish from LA necessarily any better than at my LFS, though as others have pointed out you do get the guarantee.

Honestly only get it from LA divers den, I have 5 from LA-DD , all are healthy and fat

As great as LA is, I would not order something like a leopard wrasse from their regular section. Their regular section is just drop shipped from the wholesaler, and while they use a great wholesaler, something like a leopard wrasse just needs that extra TLC from something like Diver's Den.

Myself also. Have ordered leopards through DD, and although I haven't had all of them for all that long, so far 5 for 5. Done far less well with LFS leopards (never ordered one through regular LA).

Just remember, even DD fish need to be quarantined. You shouldn't be just dropping them in your tank.

While I would generally agree, I recently bought a bipartitus trio from DD and they went straight into my display fuge. So far no reason to regret that decision. Not sure I would do that for any other fish, however; even one sourced from DD.

Just want to update this post to 2 out of 3. Lost a potters about a week after the metro treatment was over, for no apparent reason. I've also found a product called paracide-D which has worked on other wrasses for me that had white stringy poop, which I am now using instead. My displays are about full though so I dont think I'll be qt any more fish for quite some time. I believe metro is still good to have on hand for other things, but I will stick with the paracide-d for a proactive internal parasite treatment.
