Let me see how many 40 gallon breeder tanks are there in this Tampa bay Reef club.

and the most recent rockscape

Will get some current ones up after cleaning tomorrow[/QUOTE]

Your tank inspired me to build my 40 :D. Also we have the same shape rock piece. Really like ur rock work. Keep us update.

fun idea but whats the filtrations going to be? what about flow and lighting? also wont evaporation just collect all over the bottom of the top cause viewing to be very poor without cleaning daily? and what about the top it self. looks like it must be acrylic based on the little legs and that it seems to be sagging/bowing in the middle. wont having cups and whatever all over it cause it to be a scratched up mess in no time?

the idea is not a new one so i know if can be done just very interested and wondering what the plans are.

Protein, sweet... That scared me when I saw it in this 40B thread... There have been some crazies who removed trim and learned the hard way. That tank looks pretty sturdy and the euro-bracing up top will help with any twisting forces.

Good luck with it and keep us posted on how it progresses.

as of now im running an aqueous hob untill i can afford a nano tunze skimmer. and i have koralia powerhead and im going to be using leds for accent. and the top isant sealed so vapor dosent build up at all and it was only cockeyed in the picture cause the fiter is just kinda cramed in there for the moment.

its supported in the middle so it dosent bow, and i planed on having to replace the top everyonce in a while and ide switch to glass because its cheaper.but ive had it for a week and havent had a skuff yet so i might be good for a while.

Here's a couple of shots from my phone. I almost sold this tank about a month ago, I'm glad I didn't. Plus I got a bunch of lousy offers.

tompetty : i glad you didn't. It looks beautiful. Also i want to ask does the Mp10 provide enough flow for the whole tank ??

Theres a koralia on the opposite side of the vortech. with both of those the tank gets a good amount of flow.

Here's some more pictures.
