Let the flaming begin.. Clown tang ?

I agree with jbvdhp, if you want a clown tang, why not try it. You can always borrow a fish trap and remove it. Sometimes I think we overthink some of this stuff. I am guessing most of the people who gave you advice have never kept them before. Get a small one and see what happens. You aren't trying to put a massive trigger in a nano. A small clown tang - why not give it a shot?

And Moeshi, chill out dude.

This is not advice. There are reasons there are "minimum" tank sizes recommended by every reputable online vendor. What bothers me most about this comment is the "trap and remove it" mentally. You know you are getting a fish that WILL be too big for the tank already. Trapping and catching fish adds unneeded stress to both the trapped animal and the other animals in the tank and all for what? So you can "enjoy" an animal that will suffer in a small tank?

Hey, the original poster is supposed to get flamed, not me!

Anyway, my point was that many of these fish can be kept for a year or two before they outgrow a tank. To enjoy a fish for a year and then take 30 minutes to remove it with a trap doesn't seem unreasonable to me.

Very true. These poor fish have it tough enough - may as well give them the best chance.

So back to my original recommendation - powder blue :)
