Lets Hear Those Fish Names!!!!

Hey guys,

Every single fish i buy, i have to name it. I ussually leave it sometimes to my little sister, but i personally enjoy naming them because they are a pet just like a dog.

Here is my list for names...

Pair of Ocilarrious clowns: Male- Addidas, because his three stripes look like the addidas symbol.
Female- Nike, i mean i had to keep them both shoe companies!



Two Green Chromis: First fish i every had my sister called her Stacy.
Second Chromis called Ralph, also named by little sister.


Newest addition, Yellow Tang- Jordan, named by my sister because he swims back and forth in the tank like a basketball player on the court.

I've had other people name my fish before, usually woman. My first fish ever was a oranda goldfish named "Gill" which was the only fish I ever owned that was officially named. In my 9 years of saltwater, I personally have never named a single living organism, and usually refer to them by their common names or scientific names. On a rare occasion, a woman will decide my fish needs a name. Couldn't tell you the fish names (or the names of the women for that matter, lol).

+1 I also never have named my fish other than a feeder goldfish from walmart that lasted for 4 years and his name was Toady... I don't know why but it was haha.

Orange percula is Nemo, of course. B&W ocellaris is,um...black Nemo. Orange spotted goby is tigger cuz he hops. Magnificent foxface is Spike. Yellow headed goby has not been around long enough to earn his name (bad luck ya know) but IF he had a name it would be Beaker.

Clowns- Coral and Marlin officially, but I have never called them that, my sister named them originally, and various girls have tried to name others, but nothing has stuck at all.

Grumpy. Firefish. They have a distinctly downturned mouth. Looks like he/she's frowning all the time, hence the name.

Umm Drae, did you say Pooty was the name of your Sailfin Tang. As in Pooty Tang. You can't see it, but I am laughing so hard I teared up a little =-)

I don't name all of my fish, just ones with personality.

my green mandarin is Lola
My yellow eye kole tang is Smoochers
and that is it. I haven't thought of names for my clowns yet or the jawfish

My clowns were Betty and Ford, since they drink like fish.
My yellow tang is Besitos ("little kisses," in Spanish), because all I could hear coming from the fish store bag on the drive home was little smooching sounds as he tried to nibble algae off the bag.
