I just purchased one last week. I love these ever since I saw some when I was a little boy. I'm curious how they grow. I guess do they build their own skeleton or grow over rock? Anyways, info and pics will be much appreciated! Let's see some!

A LFS near me has these all the time and I have been considering getting one but am a little unsure of the lighting requirements for these as well as flow. Can you guys list your lighting, placement, and flow. thanks.

Mine is about middle of the tank and moderate flow. I have mine under ecoxotics panorama LED fixtures. My nitrates are pretty high at the moment but it seems to be doing fine. Well, most of it, when it arrived in te mail something smelt dead, but I didn't see anything, and now I'd say about an inch of tissue has died off on part of it. It stopped after I dipped it in some revive.

You can see the placement of mine in the picture I posted a few posts up...just a few inches off of the sand. It's in a 30" tall tank with all T5 lighting. My tank is mostly SPS, so I've got more flow than the maze brain needs - two Vortech MP40s, two Tunze 6055s and I've got a Tunze Wavebox.

Those are some really sweet Platygyra there!
I hope my blue one fares better than my green ones did, we shall see..

None, right now. I don't have the software for my current camera.
Hopefully, soon.
Of course, it doesn't help that my pics basically SUCK. I just can't get the hang of getting clean pics in a bowfront.

My Playtgyra is 6 years old in my tank, getting kinda large these days, check out the inflatations on the coral, it drops these bubbles of coral off which float away and start mini maze brain corals elsewhere. It has really long sweepers at night.
