I am getting ready to re-arrange my rock work and I think I would like to go a bit more open than the usual "Wall" look. I have done the "Wall" method for many years...just want something more modern looking. Does anyone have some inspiration for me? I want to see pic's!!!!!! I also Like the "pennisula" for 3-sided tanks!

All are welcome......!

Is this open enough for you?

Tank is 30 x 30 x 31 High

KEEPERZ, I really like that rockwork, think I might have to do a little copyright infringment!!! LOOKS GREAT! Thanks!

Keep them coming, this is getting me excited about the new look I am after!

Not only are they open, but not cluttered. Both look very good.

I am considering a rearrangment of my tank, open it up and give it a less cluttered look.

My problem is that I always bought small pieces of LR which ends up making a pile vs. 1 or 2 large pieces of LR with a few small pieces to fill in here or there.

I don't have the space personally, to do an open look. But I do love the open look and will definitely go for it when I get a big enough aquarium.

When I think of open aquascape, I'm reminded of Steve's (OregonReef) tank. I hope he doesn't mind me posting it here.

Someone recently called a picture I posted "open." Does this qualify?

Well maybe if they frag some corals. :)

I wanted an open look to my 120. This is what I came up with.

Nothing touches the glass so it is very easy to clean with my magnet cleaner.

WOW those tanks are Perfect!!!! This is giving me some GREAT Ideas!!!!! Thanks So much!!! Keep them coming, I just enjoy looking at them!!!!

Drouner, My local Reef Store has epxoy in a tube, just for aquascaping. Marine Depot and others do as well. I cant think of the name brands but I know its out there, give it a look.

this prob isn't quite what your looking for but.... the basic idea in my scape was to have no rocks sitting on top of other rocks ie no "base rock" or reef wall. the second premise was i didn't want the rock touching the back wall, and third i wanted the corals not the rock to become the scape. i was going to have some open space all the way to the back wall but didn't like seeing the back glass or wasting space where i could put corals so i ended up adding a few filler peices - it looks a little bla now but i think when the stags grow out more they will become the focus and the rocks will disapear:
