Anything he can fit in his mouth (and even some things he cannot!) is at risk of becoming a meal, although I have some remaining peppermint shrimp in the tank that I was sure would be gone within a week, but all have survived for a few months now. Obviously shrimp are a no-go with such a fish, but could one of those beauty's be kept with a royal gramma in a 29 (w/ sump)?
