Anything he can fit in his mouth (and even some things he cannot!) is at risk of becoming a meal, although I have some remaining peppermint shrimp in the tank that I was sure would be gone within a week, but all have survived for a few months now. They would have been removed if their capture was a possibility, but clearly they are too reclusive for even the hungry jaws of a dwarf lion.

Regardless, he's an awesome addition to the tank. HTH
