It's a 29gal Via Aqua..that's been gutted (thanks LFS guys for all that great advice...this was befor I knew what RC was). Currently the lighting over the tank is 5X24W TEK T5 retros with the sixth bulb over the HOB fuge. If I add the 50-60gal sump/proptank that I've been thinking aobut soon I may put the 250w MH I originally bought for the tank over it, at least durring the winter...Or sell the 250 and put a 150de like you have on yours and go year round with it...but I'm getting pretty good results with the T-5's right now so I'm not sure if I want to switch.... I've been thinking about using a doseing pump (which reminds be to go to our instrument graveyard and to look for a useable pump)..Right now I'm adding 90-100mL of each of my DIY 2-part, and it's causing me to battle pH (which I'm hopeing a dosing pump will solve)

Jeremy from Premium Aquatics had an incredible (I think it was a 46 bowfront) if I remember correctly. I've never seen colors like that before. We should hit him up for some pictures. All his colors were INTENSE!! Made me get into sps. He had some kind of a problem at some point and it didn't look so hot after that. He ended up tearing it down.

I can only echo this and request more details. Very inspirational.
I'm currently without a tank and thinking mid-term about a sumpless nano (now somewhere much smaller than my old place and married! Need to fit my obsession round the needs of my nearest and dearest as well as my own). Advice on how these are set up would be gratefully received (am I right in thinking both are sumpless?).
Victoria, are you using the Tunze Osmolator top-off system?

I try and spread it out over the corse of the day..15mL when I wake up, and another 15mL before I leave for work..and 15mL an hour for 4 hours when I get home (another reason for wanting a doseing pump...I want my life back). I've been running an air pump to help stabalize the pH when adding...but yeah pH is my major battle right now...I'd love to have a calc reactor, but I just can't see spending it on a 29gal...I've just got to thin out my tank for now, as I've really overstocked the corals at this point..another reson for that 50-60 sump/prop tank...I just really like to collect corals..:lol:
For other specs: Right now the tank is skimmerless and has been since it was set up back in Jan03..it get weekly to biweekly 30% water changes..if I add the sump I will also add a skimmer..
I do have a 5gal CPR HOB fuge that I grow cheato in and I've got a DIY rowphos reactor in there also. For water movement I've got a sieo620, MJ1200 on the fuge, and a couple of rios with about a 35X turnover rate in the display...I'd like to increase it sometime soon..thats about it as far as equipment on it other than a heater..
On mine I use two part additive ESV. I use the low ph formula during the summer. It helps control the ph better. I use the regular formula in the winter, because of the indoor co2. I dose every 12 hr at a rate of about 25ml . I use the third pump for doing the topoff. I also have a HOB fuge with cheto, I make a DYI skimmer that works well for this small of a tank. I also do 5gal a week water change.
David I tryed to add all during the day like you are doing but it was hard to control the ph. I found this method much better.
