Nice, how long have you had the cyanoguttatus? Thats not one you see too often and the few I have seen make it to the states have all perished pretty quickly.

He has been in our care since 11/13 - we acutal have a pair but I can't ever get a pic to focus of both of them- black fish are very had to take a pic in focus without dslr much like a torpedo wrasse

Macropharyngodon cyanoguttatus. A cool fish nonetheless.

I am referring to cf lunatus... Same as NYA sells, not true Japanese Lunatus (NYA is 1/2 hr drive from my home)

Yes I bought some males in Novenber for $95... But a year ago they were even less

Could someone please help me identify this wrasse? I loved his/her look, lfs wasn't sure on specific name, seems to be reef safe so far which the lfs said it was. Have looked for pics online to identify, can't find it.

Yup beautiful Blue Dot and still is in juvi colors. Mine didn't really start to color up until it hit about 4-5". It will develop red in the anal fin and yellow at the base of the tail. The blue dots will really brighten up as well. They get big 15" or so and the cuc will be on the menu. Mine is the only wrasse I have that will even eat micro brittles as well. It also hurts it's mouth once in awhile hammering at the sand and rocks searching. It can be heard in the next room....LOL
