Can you blow out the polyps with too much direct flow? Ie. An sps 3 inches away from an mp 40. I had heard about people blowing out polyps but didn't know if it was true and under what conditions.

not sure i have never done it...but im sure you can have too much flow for some sps corals.

anyone with a wave box....can you tell me which fuse i should be using....the 12v 18v or 24v??

I have a dart as my return pump. An mp40 on the blue mode(slow ramp up and down) its set at 75% because it stirs up too much sand. I have great polyp extension. Probably 80% of what I get at night.
Oh, I also 2 mj1200 non modded and 1 k3. That's it, and Sps have great growth and PE!!
I don't understand why people blast corals. Constant random flow provides food and random growth.

i had the 12v and when i put the right one in there...the 24v it doubled my wave size...im now rocking up and down one inch...NICE
