Lets talk Controllers, options, functionality, cost, dependability, expansion.....

Wow this auto correct is really an a**
I meant it's just a matter of managing a cost effective way to make it available for general public.

My Apex does everything I want and need. I've used Neptune products since the first gen Aqua Controller was released in the early to mid 90's and the progression to the Apex has given me a product that has been extremely reliable and expanded beyond my wildest imagination. There is so much that my Apex does for my system that I honestly couldn't imagine running my tank without it. Not only that but its saved my tank from disaster by alerting me to a leak when I was thousands of miles away. It's circumvented other potential disasters as well. Frankly, there isn't much more I could ever ask of it it. Heck, even if it did monitor Alk and calcium levels, I would still do my manual tests just for checks and balances. So for, Apex gives me everything I ever wanted or needed and so much more.

+1 and more

Let's hope so, and that one can actually buy it. Until that point, I shall stick with my 'believe it when I see it' stance.

they just got their kickstarter going, and looks like they are trying to release by the end of the year. And launch in Jan!

Back to controllers.
What would you pay for an option like alkalinity calcium and magnesium to be added to the existing controller?
considering that mind stream is aiming for a $700-900 retail plus $50 monthly disc replacement.

windows 8, ipad, google tablet, what would be the more preferred user interface. how would you like to see the programming and monitoring interface?

come on lets get some real answers to constant alk monitoring with 3-5% error?
what would you pay for equipment?
-standalone
-controller interfaces?ie apex reefkeeper and so on
what would you pay for reusable ?

That was a real answer. I may buy an alk, calcium, mg test kit once a year. I see no reason to constantly by the second know their numbers. Sure it would be cool to have but again not for $500 a year. If it was $100 a year maybe. But I still don't spend that much on testing kits a year.
