Uggggghhhh...How can people be so dishonest...I bought a pump of the RC trader and went to go hook up my skimmer...come to find out the pump was locked up, popped the GFI breaker...took the pump apart and the magnet and impellor was rusted in the pump body.....called the guy....well you guess what his response is....!!!!

You should post this is buyer/seller feedback, so the general population can be made aware of this shoddy seller.
 
I've got 2 used ones that I bought when I bought my 200 that I'll sell you. One was used in-sump and he other was plumbed externally. Just have to ship from Louisiana :P Bummer about your pump.
 
I was going to post something in regards to a warning and feedback to people in his area...but I don't want to get in trouble with the mods...is it allowed?
Believe me....I'm ****ed....I'm just an average person, normal job....I know the expenses of the hobby...so I figured to start with some used parts...lesson learned the hard way

Lee, that buyer/seller forum is there specifically to report problems members have had with sales transactions with fellow members or to compliment a good transaction. Post your issue there where you can name the individual and provide a warning for us all in the future.

If buying new, you can usually save a few bucks by buying a mag pump under the "pondmaster" brand. Amazon has the Mag 9.5 for $87 with free shipping.
 
Filed a dispute claim thru paypal....anyone has an ideal of how long this takes?

"I recently bought a mag24 pump from him, $100 plus 15 for shipping...took him over a week to ship, giving excuses about the delay. So finally arrives, waiting on my Skimmer about 2 weeks before I could test the pump. I hooked it up and the pump popped my GFCI, took the pump apart. The magnet and impeller was so rusted inside the pump body, I couldn't remove the impeller, finally getting it out...found that the magnet on the impeller had split in 2 place and covered in rust

I contact him in regards to this and he told me in more or less words that it wasn't his responsibility and to buy a new impellor...the pump is frozen even with the impeller out...keeps popping the GFI circuit...the pump motor itself is rusted...this is not new damage.

The person selling the item...did not state in his advertisement "items sold as is"

I have contacted him numerous times via texting also the forum used to sell the item, his response is...not my responsibility

Finally got some feedback from Paypal and won...just gotta send back the pump with a tracking number....looked on BRS...mag 12 pump and then finally get my new skimmer hooked up...expect a phone call saltwaterpicasso....thxs everyone...really thought I was gonna get boned on this one
