does anyone know of any syracuse area business that cuts acrylic either with a laser or cnc machine?

What sort of complexity and volume do you need and what's the final product for?

There are a few online fab shops that will take a CAD drawing and cut acrylic parts but it's pricey and you don't always get to specify material down to the specific product level (i.e. if you want a certain brand of material). I don't know of anything locally but I've never really looked.

One thought - laser cutting is not ideal for acrylic that will be solvent welded since the laser causes stress to the material that almost inevitably leads to crazing.

not complex at all, just lots of repeating shapes, I know I can cut a few but not all and have them be identical. thanks for the info on the laser cutting.

I see if I can look it up.I cant remeber the name or the street its on but there is a place off near the little jem dinner fabricatin acrylic.All I can recall is its off pulaski street.

Anyone know the name or street?

Mike, theres a good chance were thinking of the same place.Theres one place right on S.geddes right behind "kimbers" but ,I forgot the name.They do limited work and dont carry stuff like weld-on.

The place Im thinking of is run by a guy named Marty,yeah off S.geddes onto pulaski st. ,but for the life of me I cant remember the last street you turn onto..ring any bell?
