LF Source of CB Latz clowns?

I had 2 Wide band latz from Pacific Island which died in a power failure a few months ago. Anyone know of a breeder selling reasonably priced CB full barred Latz?
Thanks, Mike

Blue Zoo has some latz, but they're not cheap. Not sure what reasonably priced means for these guys. ;-)

It also appears that they can get some CB ones, I'm willing to bet that they need to be ordered.

I've been told by a small clownfish hatchery that these clowns are very misbarred and narrowbarred when reared in captivity. The CB Latz sold by BZA has narrow bars. I don't know how much wider they get as fish grows. But for now what I've been told seems to be the case.

BTW, bluezoo claims theirs are perfect, they are also not in stock, so there you go.

Our new batch of Latz Clowns are perfect! They have full bars even at a small, juvenile stage. These are the Captive Bred Latz Clowns that everybody has been waiting for. There are very limited supplies of these fish."

It doesn't say they're not in stock, just to email them. I'm guessing they don't have them on site.

The pair I had from PIA looked like clarkii when small but the bar widened as they got older. I paid $100 each a few years ago. Mine were bred by Karen Brittain and it was my understanding that she was the only breed to have fry with perfect bars at the time.

That was my understanding too. I was also informed that she is no longer breeding them. The one on LA gives hope that wide intact barred ones are being bred again. She occasionally posts on this board so keep asking and enough demand may change her mind, though she seems to be very busy with other amazing successes.

To my knowledge bz wants you to have the email part, that is their way of getting requests. Once they get a request they start looking for that item to be in stock

My pair died as well. I have been waiting for CB full bar in the $125-200 range to pop up again but the odds seem long. I guess I will just be happy with my maroon / occ hybrids for now.

One is a full misbar and the other is a near miss - too pricey for rather poor quality.

$150 to $300 for a breeder sized pair. At least that's what I paid before.
For a healthy, well established adult pair I may pay up to $1000 but anything above that is just ridiculous.

I think that is an old note. The ones they had were CB from Down Under, likely the same breeder LA gets theirs from.

If she doesn't want to breed them herself she should at least share how it's done properly.

try iBluewater, Bob texted me awhile ago saying he had a pair

How much did they want for those? An arm and a leg and your first born?
I feel iBluewater may be the last resort to get them but their prices are out of this world...

The only photo I saw was this one:

I didn't realize that they just added a couple to the Collector's Choice section. I agree that they're not ideal.

Best bet is captive bred that tolerate typical reef temps, otherwise I understand temp needs to be low 70s. I paid $100 each, perfect bar fro PIA when they were around. These obviously we're from Karen. Once my 375 is established I'll see what I
Can find.
