LF: TDS Meter

Got me an BRS RO/DI unit... does anyone have a TDS meter they want to sell or loan? Just would like to check the water coming out, etc.

What's the normal maintenance? Its their 75 GPD unit... but I probably wont use 75 gallons in a single month, so just flush it every time I fill up my holding tank?

If you are around 59th Ave and the 101 I can loan you mine. I ordered my TDS meter off ebay for $5 shipped its great!!! Its light and dark blue. You got BRS so i am assuming its got color changing resin. Did you get one DI canister or Two?

I suggest after that goes bad you go to Spectrapure and buy their MaxCap/Silica Buster Replacement DI cartridges. I actually think they have a newer one out now thats better. The MaxCap:Silica Buster replacement ration was 3:1. I got their bulk supply and refill my cartridges myself. I was told not being in the fridge and being opened the life expectancy was 4 months. Its been over a year and I still get zero TDS when I change the stuff out. Air tight container in their original packaging, zip locked. But it smells like fish when you change it yourself (and it has from the first time I opened those bags).

As for flushing. you can do it everytime you make water thats fine. I have flushed my 180gpd unit from BRS like 4 times because I have it set up to ATO my reservoir. So its going every like 2 days for 5 gallons. And my membrane rejection ratio is still >98%
