As the title says I'm looking for:

Tail Spot Blenny

Red Spot Goby

Blue Velvet Nudibranch

(Reef Culture had one a few weeks ago but I hesitated and someone else grabbed it I think); Having a bad flatworm problem and can't use a sixline because of possum. Will pass BVN onto FRAG/PROP members for free after use.

Let me know if you have them, or see them at an LFS please

If price is required for looking for threads, I'd be happy to pay $30 for any of the three, and can pickup anywhere in the valley.

Thanks for the tip, picked up the TSB from Reef Monsters today. Still looking for red spotted goby and BVN. Let me know!

Blue Velvet Nudi's will perish pretty quickly once a flatworm population is eradicated. They only eat flatworms and unless you plan on supplementing their diet with a constant supply of them, they are better left out of our tanks.

As mentioned in the OP, i plan on passing him along to another FRAG/PROP member for free after I'm done with him. I expect to have him for a while, I have two tanks completely infested with flatworms.

My other option is a dragonet, but I'd rather use an obligate eater to target the problem. It is not a permanent resident of the tank.

I'm on-board with you, the vast majority of nudibranchs have no place in home aquaria until feeding technology can catch up with their dietary restrictions. I cringe when I see tanks full of purple/magnificent nudis.

:]

bumpybump - still looking for red spot goby & BVN. If you see one while browsing the shops, let me know!!!

Also interested in a small mystery wrasse if someone has been keeping one in a topless tank. Not keen on gambling a random one for $100. Prefer shy individuals, he would be the boldest fish in the tank (TSB, Mandarin, Possum Wrasse) so can't be a bully.

thanks!

You don't think any Mystery would eventually bully a Mandarin?

Red spot goby - Reef culture I think.

If no luck, send me a PM. I think I remember the person that got me a bunch of em

That makes me sad! It was my understanding that they were one of the less aggressive wrasse species. Oh well. Any 'showstopper' that would fit this long shallow tank and get along with the very passive roommates? Fair bit of swim space, but 5" is really pushing it for stocking after the other three. Can't eat sexies, pompoms, harlequins, cocos, or clams.

I'll check Reef Culture tomorrow for Goby - thanks!

Reef Culture was just bringing their Red Spot Gobies out of quarantine, so I was able to pick one up. Thanks for the tip!

Still looking for a BVN and a suggestion for a 'feature fish' in my 37.5g - let me know

What kind of tank is the 37.5?

It's a custom peninsula, 34Lx16Wx16H with the 5"x16" AIO insert in the tank. Rimless and uncovered (and not interested in covering it.) Large VidaRock centerpiece and barnacle. Lit by 160W Maxspect R420R. Runs MP10 & WP25, BRS GFO in IM Reactor, Purigen & Matrix on racks w/ Filter Pad. Connected to Tunze 3155, Neo-Therm 150w, RKL, & 52mm Gnome Glass airstone skimmer.

Stocking is yellow banded possum wrasse, tail spot blenny, harlequin shrimp (f), a pompom, coco worm, & strawberry conch. Very shallow sandbed (conch cruises ontop)

Corals are plates, euphyllia, chalices, & a red monti cap i'm hoping to get to spiral.

Plan on adding mandarin, pair of money cowry, a male harlequin (if I can find a pink/yellow Hawaiian variety), blue-legged coral banded, teardrop maxima, and more corals (of the same variety - chalices, plates, euphyllia)

EDIT: forgot feeding, 300mL Reef Stew twice / week; 1mL Live Phyto-Feast twice / day; Dainichi Marine FX Baby Sinking three times / day to wrasse;

If you have SPS colony and want something unique... I would recommend getting a small colony of the Eviota nigriventris. I had a small colony in my old tank, and they would pick out a single SPS colony and live in it.. darting out into open water for food or hovering near the SPS

Jorell just called me, he managed to find a BVN for me so I'm picking it up tomorrow. He mentioned he has another, so if anyone is looking you know where to find one: Reef Monsters.

I have decided to go with a Brazilian flameback angel as the 'showfish' in the tank. I'll look for one after the tank matures a while and a mandarin is added and settled.

That sums up this thread! Thanks everyone for the tips on finding livestock, and suggestions on a show fish!
