I installed one on a 280 gallon aquarium and am somewhat mixed on it.
Pros: excellent build quality and will last for many many years. His skimmers are the best on the market. They are truly set and forget. He also includes everything you need to get the sump plumbed and provides good set up instructions. Jeff is quick to respond to any questions as well.
Things to improve: They do not have the aesthetics of the newer flashy colored sumps. I do not like the media reactors at all. They clog very easily and are a pain to fill. No options for socks either. Instead in flows down the tube then over a baffle then a sponge. This is great until the tank shuts down for feeding causing the water level to rise and displacing the sponge. I think a sock option/sponge rack at the bottom of the overflow would be a better option.
