Hi guys.
i had some ballast/bulb trouble on my fixture 48" with 2x250w MH and 4xT5. so after getting the electrical problem fixed i happenned to have switched the bulbs from left to right and one that was on right to left. i noticed with in a day of doing that some sps acros started to bleach white.
is this a common thing? also soon i will be replacing the bulbs again for newer ones. will this happen again? are those corals that bleached a little can be reversed or it that it for them?

bulbs are single end reeflux. one was 20k and other was 14k. i moved the one 14k from left to right and 20k from right to left. i have an acro bleach a size of a dime (coin) on each side of the tank. bulbs are both 1 yr old and soon going to be replaced by pheonix 20k bulbs.

Acros can bleach when the light intensity increases suddenly, acclimation should be done over weeks. Reeflux 20K's have a high par rating than Reeflux 12K's. Phoenix 14K's are even higher ! I bleached half my acros switching to Phoenix 14K's a few years back. You should either raise your lights or use layers of window screen to switch your bulbs.
