Lighting options for 45G Cube

Any one know if 150 watt hqi fixture would be ideal to use over a 45G cube mostly sps and lps I was going to go with either 20" or 24" T-5 6 bulb fixture but with it being only 144watts total thought why not just go with the 150watt hqi I have. If you have any other suggest please fell free to comment.

I used to have 2 150 watt hqi's over my 45 cube and it was fine. I also think that one would work also. I now have about 60 watts of led over it and it is brighter then it ever was with the hqi's.

I would think the T-5s would run cooler if heat is an issue for you. I also believe rapidled suggests 30 LEDs for a tank that size. (assuming 24x24x18)

Rapid LeD? Not a big LED fan plus LEDs don't put out enough UV- so I will move forward anyone know if 150w will
Be fine for sps and lps? Unwilling have a 3 inche sandbed

+1 on 250w halide. Get yourself a nice reflector / ballast. I have a 250w halide over my tank and my sps / lps / zoos are doing amazing

You would need at least 4 to properly light a 45g cube for SPS.
