lighting question

I bought a 40 extended hex from the good ole petco sale .. my wife is really wanting a clown/anemone tank... what is the absolute minimum lighting ( buy minimum yes I mean cheapest) that I could get away with for the time being... I was thinking of the diy mh I seen on nano reef ( http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=91165&hl=pendant ) but not sure if it would be powerful enough. Thanks for your input...

What are the dimensions of the tank? Is it very deep? I have a 175w MH on my 30g and it just about covers the entire tank, the sides are less light. But I would think a 70w wouldn't quite be enough light to keep everything healty and growing.

Another thing to consider, you do NOT want to put an anenome in a new tank, you need a mature tank (sorry I can't find the thread that disccuses this) for one to survie/thrive.
