i currently have 130 watts of light on my 37 gallon tank
( 1- 460/460 and 1- 10,000, each 65 watts) want to add a metal halide to the mix around 70 watts ?
needs to be small so it will fit next to the current system
should i get a pendant, make my own, one of the nano lights that attach to the back or just buy a unit with a halide in it
trying to keep costs down and not waste the current lighting set up

thanks
mike

How long have you had it? I've been looking at it for a few months but was afraid that it would be too cheaply made to last. Do you use the stock bulb or upgrade...I was looking at the phoenix 14k for it.

I've had it for 2 months now. The Antics look great, but the MH bulb could be better. The MH I will be replacing shortly.

As for the quality of the light itself, they truly have improved on their products.

So overall I'd give the light an 8.5/10. Antics look great. A wonderful blue. The MH bulb, a little bit of a yellow tint to it, but as it warms up it looks better (not great).

The fan that came with it is seperate from the light itself. I haven't even hooked it up. Thus far heating up the tank has not been an issue. Then again I have a shallow tank and the light is 8-10" above the water.
