Lightsluvr's 340G Upgrade

George
I had the same problem. The multi link showed a disabled fishroom camera. The fishroom camera is fine with the old link.

edit: I am getting messages on the info bar above the window stating that internet explorer has blocked the attempt. You can click to over ride this block, but i was not able to get past it.
My help button says: IE blocks a website from using an "ActiveX control" on your computer if the website tries to use the ActiveX control in a way that might not be safe.

I was able to get where i had options to allow or temporarilly disallow the activity, but ie kept disallowing the override.
Since i can see both cameras separately i am more than satisfied with ths level of access. Hope this helps.

OK, I will post separate links to both old (fishroom) and new (frontview) in another post.

As for your IE blocking Active-X, I would guess it's because you have a very high security setting on a pop-up blocker in your computer. Just a guess, because I'm not a techie...

Web Cam links

Web Cam links

Some folks are unable to view both camera on the same page. I don't know why but will take up the issue with Panasonic on Monday. In the meantime, here are separate links to the two cameras...

Username: Aquarist (with a capital A)
password: watchfish

Remember, the first time you log in, you will receive a request to install an Active-X add-on. This request will show up at the top of your browser window as a pop-up warning. This add-on allows you to tilt, pan and zoom the cameras using your mouse. Click "yes" or "accept". If you have high security pop-up blocker, this request may be blocked and you will not be able to view the cameras.

After login, if you are taken to a blue welcome screen, click on the "single" tab at the top of the screen, (except for the third link below, in which case click on the "multi" tab.)

Front view of tank:

http://lightsluvraq.viewnetcam.com:50001/CgiStart?page=Single&Language=0

View of the equipment room, light rack, water system, etc. - "the back stage look":

http://lightsluvraq.viewnetcam.com:50000/CgiStart?page=Single&Language=0

Dual views - both tanks. (This link is not working for some users - I would like to hear from folks who ARE able to see both views when they click this link.)

http://lightsluvraq.viewnetcam.com:50001/CgiStart?page=Multi&Language=0

Lights are on the tank from 1100 until 2130 Central Time. Other times, the moonlights are operating and don't provide a very good view of the tank. The picture under low light is very grainy.

Enjoy!

The display tank Vid is great, George! I really like the "Standard" setting best for both clarity and motion. The whole thing is so cool - do you know if it will work on an iPhone?

I'm having trouble with the Multi view - it doesn't show anything. The link to the equipment room tells me "401 - Unauthorized". I'm using the same UserID and Pwd as the display tank - is that correct?

In any case, I'm sure it'll be easy to get it all working perfectly - you'll just have to fiddle a little. Oh, and Charlie has turned out to be a movie star! He's really stealing the show. :D

Yes, it works quite well on my iPhone, along with the Apex app and the web connection (either/or).

Hmmmm... I may have to go to the port for the fishroom tank and reset the password - just dawned on me that's why it resets for me as admin, but for no one else... I'll make sure both passwords are the same and maybe you can let me know later if you see both cameras... thanks for the idea, Tom!

George...I cannot see the fishroom cam as reported by others.

Try it now - I just synced the passwords for both server ports. I hope that will do it. I had forgotten that I changed the password for the new camera. The old camera was using an outdated password which conflicted when folks attempted to use multi-camera mode.

That's my story...and I'm sticking to it!

Fish room works perfectly - and it's lookin' good! :)

When I try the multi-connection, though - the tank shows up immediately - but where the fish room should be, I get "Connecting". Then, after a while, it says Error Code (8 / 12029)

Still no go....Looks like the IP to that camera page is different to the display one...which looks nice btw!

The IP is different, as is the server port number. The software is supposed to link them in multi-camera mode. It's working perfectly for me at both URL's, but then again the server is on my network. If the different address doesn't work, I'll call Panasonic Monday morning. It's their software issue.

OK, what happens when you try this link:

http://lightsluvraq.viewnetcam.com:50000/

Same username and password.

OK, for some folks, multi-camera works...for others, not so much. So here are the links for the individual cameras:

Display tank: http://lightsluvraq.viewnetcam.com:50001/

Equipment room: http://lightsluvraq.viewnetcam.com:50000/

I'll call Panasonic tomorrow to find out why some folks can't use the multi screen function.

Thanks everybody for checking it out.

I get a "Title" screen with some Tabs. The 1st (and current) tab say "Top". The next says "Single" - if I click it I get your fish room. The other two tabs are "Buffered Image" (gives me 5 grey squares with headings) and "Support" (gives me what appears to be a FAQ and/or instruction page).

I'm probably too late on this, but I thought, "what the heck". :(

I appreciate it. You're not getting the "multi" tab at all, which means something in the software isn't configured correctly. I'll keep working on it.
