Limewater to magnesium dosing ratio- please check my calculation

I would appreciate if someone would check the calculations below.

In the " improved DIY 2 parts" article Randy recommends to give 305 ml of Mg++ solution for every gallon of two parts solution.
Recipe #2 calls for 950 meq/L of alkalinity solution. since saturated limewater is 23 times weaker (40.8 meq/L of alkalinity), only 13 ml of magnesium solution should be given for each gallon of saturated limewater.

are these Mg++ to alkalinity ratios actually hold in real life?
