First of all, i'm not asking for help on what my parliaments are and tank size :)

The Story
I purchased my new juvenile lipstick tang 6 days ago, the first 3 days she/he was eating fine.
Then she stopped eating.
I've done everything i can now, the fishshop i've gone to for 5 years and i trust have tried to help to get her to feed. Tests a fine, everything is fine, the other fish are fine. We ordered in a new range of seaweed to try and get it to eat.
Unfortunately they were delayed today, and i can't get any to the tang.

She's very slow now, almost dopey, and she's very clingy to my juvenile saflin tang, and swims with him.

She will every now and then pick off rocks, but other then that she will get very stressed even if we get close to the tang, or her tank mate isn't in eyes sight.

What i want to know! - I'm a brief person, i expect this post to get to the point, rather then asking questions my LFS has already asked and other shops, with all due respect i don't like to repeat myself!
Has anyone encountered this problem? What have you fed yours? Any suggestions on what i can try to feed the tang? Thanks :sfish:

Naso tangs can be picky eaters. If stressed, they may stop. Now, I feel that you are intentionally leaving out relevant information. Yes, tank size is relevant. A stressed fish may stop eating. Yes, quarantine (or lack of) is relevant, your fish could be sick. Yes, foods you have attempted are relevant. My Naso is very specific about what he likes. The only thing he eats voraciously is seaweed.

Your LFS probably asked the above questions because the answers are necessary in helping you with your problem. If you don't want to answer them and repeat yourself, I'm afraid you might be out of luck.

I'll get to the point: Since your LFS knows all the particulars & you don't want to share them how can you get any advice here? Some feed some don't. If you feel like sharing details you might get better answers.

Well. With that (lack of) information, nobody knows why your fish won't eat. Why don't you ask your LFS, since they know all about you and your tank. :)

My naso eats a meaty foods and has a veggie clip for grazing. Did you try mysis or any meaty food mixture? Also, who are the other tank mates? The naso might be being bullied or picked on hence the stressed behavior.
We have no idea what you discussed with your LFS but in order to get any real advice, you should expect to answer basic questions- however briefly!

Yourself and Rea are the only one i seem bothered enough to reply to. The rest are out of their minds, and i don't waste time on people that are not worth it.

I've tried dried food & pallets and frozen brine shrimp. Currently there's the only the baby saflin! There's no fighting from either two so, i guess it's still the mystery!

Most LFS sell dried seaweed in various brands... depending on where you live it shouldn't be too hard to find. Even Petco has it. This is a staple part of a tang's diet so you should get it for the sailfin even if the Naso isn't interested.

wow.... im quite new to this board, but you come off as a pompous a... clown. you come to this board asking questions about a fish that you are struggling with and don't provide the details. Yet they are the ones out of their mind and not worth your time. maybe a little patience can save your fish. sorry to derail the thread, GL with your fish.

You may find it completely irrelevant, but just by chance, do you have two 180 gallon fish crammed into a too small tank, that's too new? If a fish eats fine and then suddenly stops, somethings wrong, and you should be willing to give whatever information is necessary to get the most inclusive help.

That said, your fishes problem just might be you. ;)
