Thanks evo187 for the kind words, and any time. We all start with frags it's good to compare pictures it's easy to not notice changes in our tanks since things happen so slow which is why I like to take pictures every month and compare.
Thanks bogacgol -I don't have my apex going so I don't have logs but the ambient temperature in my house goes from 50's in the winter to mid to upper 70's to low 80's in the summer. So if I had to guess I would say in the winter my tank is typically running in at the bottom range (if not a bit below) my heaters so maybe 75-77 or so. While in the summer I'm proboly running at the upper end since my fans trigger a fair bit so 77-79 or so every once in a while (but very rarely) I hit 80-81.

Thanks clowndude - Yes I would like to go bigger I have a larger frag tank that I need to water test and hook up. I just really need more water volume. I'm not comfortable anymore with the amount I'm dosing for the size of tank I have. A good friend of mine is moving in Sept and they are in the process of setting up a new system and generously offered me their old tank of which I really like the dimensions so I may take them up on that unless I come across something sooner. I'd like to move to the 150g range something a little bit taller (maybe 20"-22", a little bit wider 30"-36", and maybe a foot longer so 48"-52"). I don't want to go any bigger then I can support with 2 full-size luminarc reflectors and 250w bulbs.
Hi Dowtish, - My Garf RTN'd after the dip, my efflo stn'd (but a small bit is hanging on and may come back) and a couple frags didn't make it. I found it a bit confusing to nail down and exact dose it seems every thread has multiple people saying multiple things so I tried to stay cautious and went with what I thought was the low side of dosage. I read a lot of threads and they all sort of blurred together. I believe the guidelines I used were 10ml per 2 cups for 15mins but I used less. Something like 60ml-70ml for a gallon for 15mins.

Really like this shot you took from down low looking up as you can see the corals growth and branch patterns much better from this perspective :thumbsup: Everything's looking beautiful as always mate, i love that purpley red acro far left above the brown stag with blue tips. I never see those sp. in my LFS sadly, is it what you call a deep water acro in the US. I've gotta luck onto one in my travels sooner or later lol :deadhorse1:
I want to add a second tank to my system and was thinking 52x30x16-18" peninsula style with a short side to the wall. Will be running 2 x 250W radiums like you do now but i'll also have 6-8 54W T5's supplementing the light spectrum and to help cover any shady halide spots so i think you'll have no probs still running the same lights over a much bigger surface area than you have now mate - i'm sure there's a lot of us hoping to see you start that build thread at some point in the near future - you might be able to rid yourself of those pain in the bum bugs during the changeover with luck :thumbsup:

That is a "Red Dragon" you guys don't have them yet? They've been around for a while but really blew up in popularity the past few years. Really fast grower.
I've got my hand on some more RPS I got a few bottles this time so I'm going to start a dipping regiment again. I'm just not keeping on top of basting.

It really depends on the pieces. For the most part I trim back stuff as they get to close but more so if one piece is a lot smaller then the other and can easily be wiped out. (edit: the bigger issue I'm having is in my choice of corals. Because I have so many tables they are starting to shade everything below them and the corals I was able to keep lower in the tank now need to be relocated)
I'll try to snap some of the frag tank it's really a mess to be honest and not very exciting. It's more of an overflow tank then a frag tank and has rampant aptisia and algae issues I'm always battling.

I believe red dragon originates from Indonesia in aus coral imports are banned as are aqua cultured fish imports:headwally:

Well if I could I would sneak one back to you in a water bottle but you just have to set me up with a flight from qantas first, that stops in fiji for a couple weeks

Finally took some photos of individual pieces for the first time in ages. I had another thread where I compared growth of individual pieces but sort of dropped off posting in it when I made this thread. It's kinda hard to take the pics the same way but for the ones it still it works I'll show old/now.

Pink, green and blue tip mili (blue won't photographs white.. need to take a shot of the leprechaun but I hacked it up a little bit) It's a frag of a wild piece that for some reason gives me better colours then my bubble gum milli atm.
