I know im still a ways off from it being where the old tank was, but its coming along. All of the corals you see are survivors from the crash!!! I havent added anything new for about 9 months now... i have the itch again, baddddd!

All of these are under a 20k Radium, no supp lighting.

I maintain a 360 gallon display tank and it was having an algae problem. We removed all the gravel and then the cyano started. It has been a year now fighting it. We added bio pellets to the system. Some change. Then we noticed that the DI cartridge was bad. After two months of weekly water changes we have fixed the problem. This tank also had the red algae that looks like snot. I did see a tank of the month I believe that was using Warren Marine Snow Flakes to keep from getting Cyano.

Well its bee a little bit, more like a year. LOL! Figured i would toss up a few photos since im back in action and everything is doing awesome once again :D

Im still using 3- 250 w radiums and 2 72" VHO super actinic
Ive stopped using GFO as im having no issue with Po4 and keeping it at or below 0.00 on a hanna checker
Im using carbon still, but only in a bag and i change it out every 2 ish months.
Ive finally just splurged and bought myself a bunch of high end frags so excuse the frag rack in the display! I could list them, but its alot. lol!

livestock now -

Powder blue tang
Chevorn tang
Purple tang
2 panama red cardinal fish
3 disbar anthias
4 lyretail anthias
cleaner wrasse
magnificent foxface
midas blenny
2 cleaner shrimp
blue linka star
purple pincushion urchine who might be moving out soon since hes a klepto! lol

This is something ive been hiding for a while and only a couple people have seen it. Its a Tyree setosa that ive had for about 4 years i would say. Its lived through the crash, and has been grafting. So naturally i think the name grannys apple orchard setosa fits ;)

Here is some iphone pics under the VHOs and ill post up a couple more. I need to get the SLR out again.. zz

Went from this...

Where do you get the rack for your lights at.

I can look for where i picked them up at, but it was just a company who do aluminum extrusions, i had them cut every piece to spec and they have the flanges on them so the reflectors sit perfectly.

Very nice build thread

Hey dude! Nice to see you're back! You have some very nice pieces of SPS!

Thanks guys, im glad to be back! Its a love/ hate relationship, but i enjoyed it too much to stay away forever! :bounce1:

You can draw up what you want and they can cut everything for you even the angles. I had everything cut to size and just did the angles by myself since i have the tools around. Super lightweight and easy to assemble. I put it on a rolling track so i can move it 6f behind the tank and i can raise and lower it with the wing nuts (not ideal) i will be changing it to a pulley system eventually, but its not a rush because it works.

+1 on eztube.com. I emailed them my diagram, they made some tweaks and a couple of days later it arrived pre cut and ready to go.
