Long Spine Urchin Munching Zoas

I was given a long spine urchin from a neglected system. They are supposedly reef safe, but the bugger went after my clam and took bites out of the shell, as well as ate enough zoos to cover a softball within about 2 days.

Is this just because the urchin has been underfed? Can I stuff the thing with nori to get it to stop eating the stuff I want in the tank?

Thanks!

you could try. i rubber band sheets of algae to a rock and drop it in. my urchins will stay right there till every single bit is gone. i've never had problems with them munching anything else but then, i have a tuxedo and a pincushion. pincushion has been in time-outs occasionally because he insists of carrying feather dusters around.
