Long tentacle anemone & 2 maroon clowns

I added a long tentacle anemone & a large maroon clown pair at the same time. The anemone has not settled in yet & the 2 clowns are already hosting it. What should I do? I am afraid that they are going to kill it.

they probably will, i added my clarkiis back to the tank while my LTA was still settling. It buried its foot but was still moving slowly around the tank. The clarkiis pestered it to the point where the lta released its foot and now has a gaping mouth. They did this by being extremely ruff, and by sweeping the sand out around its foot. I took the clowns out and im trying to save my lta. Try to get the clowns out until it settles.

I won't say probably will, but they could.
Depends on size of nem too.
Some put a strawberry basket over nem to block clowns till they settle.

Good point, i shouldn't of said probably will either. However GSM are notorious for being extremely ruff on nems, so it would be suggested to give the nem some time to settle. Davoceans had a good alternative to getting the clowns out of the tank.

I will have to try the basket trick. Removing them will be the last resort. Currently, the lta is down in a hole in the rock. I'll just have to see if it decides to stay put.

Thanks for the good information.

LTA (( Macrodactyla doreensis )) prefer to be in/on the sandbed. Should try digging a hole in the sandbed and placing it there.
