Take a look at this 8 inch teardrop anthony gots for sale!!!

Crazy!!!

anthony@classiclimo.com...

If I weren't buying a different teardrop for him I would have gone for it, WOOT!!!! This is the biggest maxi I've seen... Just thought I'd share I'm sure someone would love this thing and the teardrops are really hitting the markets lately....

Enjoy.

i have to agree with firechild, i wouldn't pay over 100.00 for one. two hundred is way to much. i mean it is a pretty clam, but two hundred. it is becuase they have found a new place to get valid specimens from. give it some time and they will be no more expensive then any ultra maxima.

Yeah I'd love to pick one of those clams up but I am not gonna pay $100++ for one. That's just insane IMO.

Teardrops at the moment are rarely collected therefore the steep price. The ones that come from the Phippines are ripped from the rocks and die within a few days later as some have said here. The ones from the Soloman (sp?) seem to do better??? I hope I got most of my details straight. :D

Whoops, I made a mistake, he's not selling it...

I meant he's had this for 6 weeks now, and so far so good, no deaths.. So I suppose these clams from him are doing good so far.....

Where the hell did I get sell from?? Possibly because the way I reacted to it!:D

Anyways, I love these clams, of course not many would pay over 100, but you never know if they will flood the market or go down in price... I'm sure that If my piece lives to get larger someday I can sell it for just as much or even more!

Rumor is last years teardrops were from Vietnam, not PI. Time will tell if the Solomon teardrops will do better.

Either way, I doubt there are enough records to determine a meaningful mortality rate vs. ultra maximas. I would venture a guess that a huge portion of ultra maximas have died within the first 6 months as well.

Well, so far the soloman's seem to be doing well.....

Anthony has had that on e for 6 weeks, more than a month...

I'll be purchasing mine very soon, so I suppose I'll be making the greatest donation to Clam lover's..... If it lives, then the soloman's are much better... We'll just have to see...

This clam is an expensive sacrifice I'm willing to make with my pocket... It's to gorgeous to me and I would feel terrible not buying it, but feel BROKEN for buying it hahahah...

However I'm still going to buy it....:D NO CLAM FOR YOU!:p
