look at this monster!!!!

We saw one of these in an LFS tank yesterday, and it creeped my wife out to the point of her wanting to rethink putting together a reef tank...I'm still gonna put one together, but she says she will never put her arm in the tank :)

I thought it looked cool, but I sure as heck wouldn't want one in my tank...

They are creepy looking but kinda fun to watch. I use to throw food in for mine to see him come out. Mine looked exactly like the OP's pics. I'd say he was only about 12" maybe a bit longer, I had to remove him when I decided to make it a reef tank, ended up ripping him into three pieces trying to get him out, felt kinda bad but I didn't have anywhere to keep it besides. Mine burrowed several holes in one rock and would block up the holes with bits of crushed coral and sand, your best bet is find the rock and remove it.

I love these amazing marine polychaetes...they deserved a nice species only tank...any chance your bane can be my pet?

(shudder) i hope that kind of demon don't appear in my tank! imagine them growing over 3 ft in the beach, with fangs. hehe

How big do Bristle Worms get? Hopefully they don't get that size bc I let a 6 inch bristle worm go in my tank but my Niger Trigger never saw it or else it would have been eaten.

The longest one I've ever found was a 27" Bristle Worm in my 4' long 60 gal tank....I caught it as it was grabbing a snail off the glass in my tank and couldn't believe it as I kept pulling and more of this thing was coming out...can;t imagine pulling out a 7 footer...I'b be stirring all my sand with a sharp knife, lol

And they say that life on Mars may or may not have existed. It looks like a life form has moved and is now in your rocks!

this is just crazy but its cool to see new stuff so the head there does it have eyes or just a mouth? but after i got one of those out i would just start stomping on it and jumping on it just to know that i killed it

Hey Oregon dude, did you wreck that thing when you pulled it out of the tank? If so, how?

If I ever saw one of those things in my tank I would drain it and toss the tank to the curb.
