I beleive this is from it splitting. I have seen this on mags I have gotten from PI and Africa all the same color base

I thought that this is a unusual variegated pattern..............but I´m not sure.......

Yes its like a scar from splitting. My African mag has one too. It might be all in my head, but I think the scar is slowly shrinking over time.

I have no doubt that mags get scars when they split, but the stripes on the above anemones just look like stripes to me.

Here is another striped mag. This one is from the Marshall Islands.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that yours wasn't a result of a split. I just don't think that the stripes on the red and blue based Mags in the pictures are likely scars.
