looking for a decent algae scraper

My first one worked great but fell apart, second one is holding together but ever since i've got it, it will leave streaks of algae, like the blade isn't fully flat. Just looking for a decent one to go with, i don't need a magnetic one, that has a scraper end that will last a while and i don't have to worry about it hitting a certain part of the blade in order for it to do it's job.

Take a look at the Flipper as well. I have both and I like the flipper better because you can change the blade when needed and you don't always have to use the scrapper, there's a "broad" side for the easier algae.

+1 you said you don't need a magnetic one but love the flipper for being able to scrap or brush without putting my hands in the tank

Alright, forgive me for the next question, but all i've ever used is the hand scrapers, but with the in tank magnet ones, do you have to remove it after each use or is it something that stays in the tank? I like the metal blade ones, but if a plastic blade would work just as good thats fine with me, i have a glass tank.

Tunze Care Magnet. Metal or plastic blade (plastic only Nano) and you can leave it in the tank or take it out. Once you go magnetic you will never look back.

Thanks for the info, was going to go the cheaper scraper route but i might as well spend a bit more for the magnet, seems like the better choice here.

I have used several different brands - I will buy another "Flipper" when/if this one wears out. I'm not easily impressed by the latest gadget - this time I'm impressed. It does take a little practice to get the "flip" down, but once you figure it out, you won't switch back.

Leave it in the tank no issues. The Tunze magnetic scrapers are not cheap but as I said above about the best out there.

Long, Strong I thought they were the same.
I have the middle one & with 1/2" glass it sometimes falls off around corners unless you are careful. And we all know how that goes.
