Looking for public aquariums near Palm Beach

Hi,
I'll be visiting Palm Beach (staying near Del Ray) middle of the week and looking for one or two good aquariums to visit while I'm there. I would prefer the drive is within a 60-90 minutes drive and the best time to go where it's not so busy.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

The only aquarium I can think of anywhere near Delray is in Miami, which is going to be 60 minutes or so. It's good for the kids, lots of dolphins and other mammals. They have a big tank of local sea life, but I've never been a fan of local sea life here. Lots of fish, gorgonians, and other filter feeders, as we've got an abundance of planktonic material in our waters here, which makes the tank at the aquarium look yellow.

Now for member's tanks... We've got some that are nicer than any aquarium display. Lots of 300+gallon tanks with years and years old corals in them.

When at home I've got a 120 and I'd be 5-10 minutes from Delray, and I'd be happy to have you by, but I'm up at school until the 24th.

Enjoy your visit to SoFL!

Have you looked into John Pennekamp State Park in Key Largo? It a :"live" aquarium! You can snorkel or go on a glass bottom boat ride.

Thanks. I didn't realize DelRay was that close to Miami and I visited the Miami Aquarium back in 2001.

Thanks. Key Largos is about 45 minutes from Miami right? I may do that and head into Key West afterward (another hour drive) to watch sunset.
