Looking to skin a steel stand

Normally I'd tackle this myself but I'm struggling to find the time and my youngest is on the move and I need to get my stand enclosed and childproof.

Stand is 6x2x40"t
Does anyone know of someone I can use for the project that does clean work? Location is Garden Grove 92845.

Respond here or shoot me a DM.

Thanks,

Matt

Because threads without pics suck, my favorite contrasting group/top down/ through my reef viewing shades:

So sick! That's some light investment [emoji41]. How big of tank? Corals look great!

Thanks Travis! Standard 180g 6x2x2. I stuck with g3 since I already had a few from my last build. Didnt hurt AS bad! Very happy with them so far.

Dang Matt!!!

Every1 is looking good and happy with those 5 G3 Pros. What is your intensity? Awesome work on the rockscape, bud! Why do you decide to run them with the diffuser?

Well not everyone is happy unfortunately. My mini colony of JF flame, 500 efflo and another RR piece continue to stn on me, and my montis are about toast. I think my mimic tang is over committed to the role and has gone rogue. He is constantly checking all coral with nips :thumbdown i may pull him soon.

They are at 80% intensity on AB+. I was originally running the lights close to the water surface to minimize light spillage so I added the diffusers to even out the par. I've raised them since and just love the color blending they add, the shimmer looks more natural to me as well.

What salt you using

I'm on my first bucket of TMP but I was running IO before that. I swithced because I got a water sample back from ATI showing I was really high in aluminum. IO numbers were to far off from where I keep my tank to do large water changes so I swapped to TMP that mixed very close to my tanks parameters. I gotta say I'm very happy with the salt, prices sucks though!

Not gunna lie this is the first I've heard of it. What's the alk and calcium at 1.026?

It's Tropic Marin Pro reef salt. at 1.026 i get
alkalkinty 7.5
calcium 450
magnesium 1350

Its mixing clear in about 10-15 minutes for me. I'm tempted to try to use the bio-activ to see if it'd pull my nutrients down some.

Im running same radions without the diffusers... is it really changes collors blending that much? I was wondering if I buy them or not..

Dang that sounds ideal. How would changing salt decrease nutrients. It shouldn't have any in either ??

Well i for sure know that water changes reduce nutrients lol but I didn't know there was a salt that helped with that more than another...Fritz user right now..

Your tank is awesome!

I think you may have seen my thread where I skinned my tank in FRP, took a few hours and you could do it yourself.

If you are looking for a turnkey solution, I'd offer a turnkey install of magnet attached FRP for $450 including materials, I'll accept up to 50% of that in frags.

But seriously, you should do it yourself. You could do it on 1 Saturday for under $200 in materials. Custom woodworking will be many X that much and take a month(s) depending on who you get.

Dang, amazing tank! Fritz looks to be doing great for ya. I ran that on my previous 66g and liked it.

I follow your thread even though i end up searching for halide fixtures afterwards. I ended up running 2 of the fans you used on your build. They are mounted in the light rack I built. Loud when they kick on but man they move some air! Kept my tank within a degree all summer.

I posted here and on FB and a few people hit me up about doing the install. They suggested magnets as well, that solution seems so simple I'm going to go forward with it myself. With a table saw and router collecting dust, it's too hard to shell out that cash. I've got my pieces cut and 1 of the smaller panels mocked up with the magnets recessed. Your right, even if I only get an hour or two during the week it'll be completed much quicker than having someone else do it. My main goal is to have it look alright and keep the 7 month old out for now. I can always come back to it down the road if need be.

If you're still on the hunt for the Joe Knows Rainbow let me know. I could get a decent frag off it now and am always looking for trades

I think that tmp salt is even closer to the values i run. Thinking about giving it a shot, but double the cost. [emoji848]
