Loud Drainage for Sump

Is there a way I can help with the loud water splashing into my sump?
Finally filled my tank up with water last night! very first salt water tank but seems kind of loud. Let me know your thoughts please!!

If the sound is just the water crashing from the drain pipe into the sumps water, then extend the pipe closer or into the water of the sump.

Between .5 and 1 inch

Not a good idea to have an upward loop like that on the main drain pipe anyhow. Cut it off so that there is no loop and the mouth of the pipe is only slightly above the equilibrium water level in the sump.

Adding a filter sock helped lower my noise issue.
