Low Profile 36x24x15 Build

I think the rock looks good, I think some tonga branch behind the left pile might enhance the real depth of this tank. Or you could even connect the two piles with some branch, I too really like the cave on the left! What are you main fish stocking thoughts?

I agree with both of you and the funny thing Is that when I had It dry stacked on the box the right side looked better. I just couldn't get It the same again In the tank, And at this point I need to take a break as It's getting on my nerves right now.
I had the usual new tank Issues when I woke this morning the skimmer had almost overflowed a 5 gal bucket, was In water too deep for this model, I had to raise It all the way up that I could with a 34 1/2" stand to get It running In 7" deep. So far so good no more overflowing but I'll keep an eye on IT until bedtime.
I also got my ATO system up and running today and just did all the little tweaking that I could to quiet It down and It's much better now.
Sean, Some Tonga Branch may look good but I'm trying to keep It less Is more kinda approach, But I will try to redo the right side a little different tomorrow.
The first fish In will be another Cherub Angel fish (Pygmy Angel) and a school of Chromis of some kind, And a Tang that will stay on the small side maybe a Chevron but I have not put anything In stone. A must will be a Yasha Gobi/Pistol shrimp pair for sure!
I did put a couple of snails and some Pods from my big tank just for sentimental reasons, So It Is offically alive! Kinda a Valentine's Day Tank hehehe...
Man I'm tired again, But It's gettin there.

Bill, Tomorrow try taking one of the big rocks from the right pile. I think it is too close in scale to the left pile. Taking one away or swapping for a smaller piece may be the ticket. Just a thought. :)

Well being one who can never leave well enough alone, I've already changed the right side and It now has a bridge to the left side. It's still like two Islands that are connected by a flat piece of rock and I moved It a little farther back to make the proportions look better.
Lowe's In the morning to get material for temp lighting, Called the cabinet maker and have not gotten a reply yet!
Cleaned up the wire mess and got them all Zip tied (Mike This one's for you) and looking real neat, Even though their In the closet!
Photos will have to be In the AM, The Wife's Off Duty
Thanks for lookin
Bill

WOW!!!! I love it Bill. That is going to be so beautiful ,but I would expect nothing less coming from you! You wont need anything to help sleep with that in your room. I can not wait to see it when you work your magic and have corals growing ( like mad of course). :)

Leah, You are too kind and you have good taste! Been a Busy Bee I got my Metal Halides up on a temp canopy, And added a valve to my skimmer that was missing from the version 1 So with the new version 2 pump and the silencer valve we now have Quiet!
There's nothing that can match the Shimmer of Halides, Now for some Fish tomorrow. All my levels tested 0 I think with this kind of rock there may not be a typical cycle so to speak?
Zef, Yeah It made the difference, I like It much better now
More shots of the progress made today! So far....

OK, It's offically a tank! After the addition of some Eagle eye zoas and a couple of others It now has 3 live colonies of zoas In the tank and there open and looking good.
I will be getting some fish tomorrow to add also so this skimmer has something to take out of the water.
Thanks for looking
Bill

Hey Buddy, Not sure but I may have him get me a bunch of blue reef chromis and another pygmy Cherub angel. Got a few In mind for sure though, All It takes Is the Moo-la I'll call you tomorrow.
Bill

Zach, Seeing as your the only one who has seen It In person, It was a pleasure showing It all to you and I'm glad you liked It that much. It will be great to give you any help you need to get your new build off the ground and looking good! Thanks for the complements.
Bill

Bill, totally digging the rockscape. Have you considered stacking a little bit higher to take advantage of the rimless tank (I feel like those can be stacked higher due to the frame not blocking the view).

How are you going to move everything over to the new stand when it comes in? Doesn't sound very fun to me, but maybe you've got something worked out?

Jason, That's the ones but I was just gonna get them through the critter or Ebayfish.
sandalscout, I think I would have to buy another box (50#) to do that and It's not In the budget right now. Plus they are actually only 6" under the water the way they are.
I may use the one rock I have left to add some height In one spot and see how It looks?
Thanks for the Input as It Is helping the tank come out better!
