Low Profile 36x24x15 Build

No Actually have about 15-20 more to go! My test tonight showed a very slight trace of Ammonia If It Increases In the AM all will go back In my Frag tank until all tests are zero again. Better safe than sorry, But It was very little and may be nothing we will see tomorrow.
How are yours doing, Good I hope and did you get that Aiptasia today?
Bill

The Hypo needle I had was too small. It exploded as I tried to use it. I just smeared the hole with the paste for now. Will get a better needle this weekend and shoot it if it comes back out.

Well since all tests were 0 this morning and I had to go P/U my endcaps. There was a Randalls Gobi/Red Pistol Shrimp Combo that I've wanted to have for a long time so...
Pictures to follow when they come out from hiding as It say's they will hide for up to 3 days B4 being social, But my grandaughter found It hiding under a rock and It's not breathing hard or looking stressed at all so when It's ready we'll see where It builds a burrow!
Bill

Nice!

When I added my tiger pistol shrimp to my tank, it paired up with my yellow watchman within 10 minutes! :) It actually went into the burrow where it was hiding and pushed it out to show it who was the new sheriff in town! It was quite funny.

I can't find either of them this morning, Where ever they are hiding they can not be seen at the moment. They could be together I just don't know at this point, But I hope so. This Marco rock has tons of crevices and places for them under the sand to hide In that feeding time may be the only time I ever see them again? We shall see In time but I like having them non the less.:celeb2:

Spoke too fast, Looked again and just found a big pile of sand around on one side towards the back of the tank. I'm sure that they have made a burrow, Or one of them has. I can't see Inside as It's facing the rear of the tank so??? But most likely safe at the least.
Bill

The Fish has poked his head out and actually took a little swim until It saw me and darted back Into the burrow! I'm pretty sure they have paired up and are doing fine.
Bill

Sweet your going love watching them live togather.
Here's a pic with 3 gobies and 2 shrimps live togather in one big burrow.

to bad they didnt make the tank move.

Thanks guy's, They have paired up and have a small mountain of sand outside one entrance and can come out another way In the front of the tank as It seems It's all connected. And I alread do love having them they are great to watch and I hope they will do well.
Zef, Do you still have that bunch or did something happen to them as they look great?
Bill

Chris, I have wanted a pair like this for a while, Now I wait until I have Algae growth In sufficient quantities to support a Chevron Tang and It will be the next fish In the tank.
Looks like my Diatom bloom has started so It Is on the way to Coralline soon.
Bill

OK I made some progress today as I built a hanging canopy out of some unconventional material, Bead board to be exact and I like the way It turned out. It has an old fashioned feel to the type of cabinetry It copy's My wife and myself just couldn't hang with 2X4's even just for a temporary sitiuation, So I made this for cheap and I like It and may just leave It this way!
LMK what you guy's and Gal's think.. Yes or No
Bil
PS The color Is white but can be painted any color I choose If I want to change It.

I am going to make the matching stand to the canopy, What I should say Is I will be making skins for the 2X4 stand I have tomorrow to match the canopy I made today. If I like the whole thing when I'm done there may not be any other stand built as I will just keep what I made. It's different but I and my wife both like It so far. Plus the whole thing cost under 100.00 bucks not counting labor. Plus the skins will be removable for easy acess to the sump/skimmer. We'll see when It's all done how It looks.
Bill

Well I finally got around to finishing the stand with the removable front access panel to get Inside for maintenance and here It Is. Plus some other shots of misc things In the tank. Finished for now as my budget Is gone so to speak and the Wifey wants things for the house. And they will be next, As I watch this tank grow out.
Thanks to all that followed and said nice things, I hope your own tanks are doing good.
Bill

Very cool, Bill. I really like your scape. You will really enjoy the pair, I think. I have a yasha goby and candystripe pistol in my 5.5 gallon. They are a blast to watch. There is a picture in my 5.5 thread on the last page, I believe.

Thanks Adrian, And yes they are the best thing I have added so far and are very busy digging tunnels all over the place. They have at least six ways In and out that I know about already I just hope they don't collapse the rockwork. And thanks for the Cudo's I like It very much myself, And did It on the first try! LOL
