LPS lighting: 4x39 T5 or 1 Kessil A150w 40g Breeder?

What do y'all think? Setting up a new small tank and wondering about this. I don't want to do 6 bulbs, gets to expensive to change, led may not be enough? Maybe just 1x250 halide with 20k bulb?

What say you? Acans, zoas, Montis maybe? 36x18x17ish

My buddy has the Kessil 350 on his 40 breeder and he is able to grow just about everything. Not sure if you can get away with just one 150 though.

I think for lps 4x39 HOT5 is fine. If you want to add nice shimmer, I recommend adding 1 bar of Reefbrite led to t5 setup.

Thank you both for the help. I've almost talked myself into saving for a Glass Cages rimless 48x18x16 setup. Think 4x54 would be plenty on that?

i had a 150w 15k on my 40 breeder for a long time and it did awesome with all my lps and softies i wanted to do SPS only reason i went up to the 350W so first hand i can tell you it will work. i kept everything you can think of under that 150!

I wasn't sure if that would work, I'm not speaking from first hand experience, just what I saw at my buddies house. He keeps a bunch of SPS right under the 350. If the 150 works for you that is good news for the poster. He can definately save some money. Good info.
