LTA and GBTA in same tank?

For the short term (past 2 months) all has gone well. However, after reading some stories that they should not be kept together in same tank, I am thinking of removing the GBTA. They have not moved since placement and the GBTA eats like a horse, the LTA is not aggressive when fed, but does eat scallop once every week or so.
Is there chemical warefare going on even if they do not touch?
What signs should I be looking for that might show chemical warefare?

Some people successfully keep the two species you've mentioned together long-term. With allelopathy, it's not like you will look in the tank one day and one anemone will be dead. Look for decreased extension of tentacles, overall declining health, perhaps moving around in the tank. Allelopathy can occur even if they aren't touching. If all is going well, you don't have to do anything. Just keep an eye out for a decline in health over a period of weeks or months. Also, supposedly running small amounts of carbon, changing weekly and protein skimming mitigate the effects of allelopathy.

i don't know if this will be helpfull but i have kept both together in a 55gal they were together for about a year the bta split into 5 budds one of which i kept (about 10" previous to splitting). the lta was about 12" and traded it for creidt @ lfs (to large for tank)

Thanks for the replies. All seems well, I just wanted to see if others had done this. I run carbon and skim also and they seem happy.

I would leave them alone unless problems start. I've also heard that after a while they can "get used" to each other. By now, if they both seem happy, maybe it will continue that way.
