nice. me too. the great thing about brain damage is that I am having fun while I edge closer to an untimely death. BUT, on the bright side, I only need one beer.

That looks great Eric! Things move quickly in BucketLand.

However, in the third picture, I think your dog is taking a leak on your carpet.

In the next picture, I now know where your safe is. :D

In a last picture, I see that your tank is in prison. :(

Between Jonathan and Marc, I think I may have just made a little mess. Oh yeah, nice work, by the way, Lunch!

It's hard to believe that these pictures are taken in "real" time. Amazing progress....you should be in the construction or home remodeling business.

definitely nicely done... and J you getting drunk off of one beer has nothing to do with your injury and everything to do with getting old, your just in denial :D

marc - Remember Eve is a girl so she has to squat to piddle :D The safe...well..the only thing in it is our marriage certificate nothing worth a lot o money :( and the 58gal is in prison until the 200gal is up!! I won't rock the inside of that room until it is moved so I don't get rock dust everywhere. Will do the outside then set up the 200gal and then do the inside of that room.

Dudester - I agree they are both drunk. Must be their old age getting to them.

Goodwin - Yeah I'm moving. I want my tank up. I've had it since March of last year and go my house in June...I've waited long enough now it's my time to roll. I need that sub panel that you got. PM me for a price if you are willing to get rid of it. No construction or home remodel biz. I do enjoy that kind of work I just hope that I get better and learn something. It's like reefers we do a lot of DIY stuff this is just another project.

thirschmann - Thanks

FUA - Not coming together yet. It's in that make a bigger mess before you get cleaned up stage.

Hope to have a few pics of it cleaned up a little more

more pic man come on your in good shape, build more we must have walls and tank pictures, look s great buddy.

Didn't work on the basement at all today :( My parents are coming over for supper so we cleaned the upstairs, grocery shopped, and I needed a nap :D Hop to do some stuff tomorrow and I'll talk to my electrician buddy to start tieing lights together, putting in outlets, and planning what lighting to do down there. What do you guys have in your basements? Can lighting?

asmodeus - More pics when I have more done

I wouldn't call that a "safe" anyway. More like an exo-skeletal paper weight.

Yeah pretty much a heavy place to have a couple documents. There is a little more in there then a marriage cert but not much.

Can lighting is OK but I would definitely do dimable so you can turn the lights down and watch the tank without reflections.

LOL it's always about the tank. Man it feels good to be around people that understand!!

Lunchbucket - great build dude! I can't wait to see the rest! I think I'll tag along!

Lunch bucket, what type of lighting do you have there man the white pendants looks pretty cool , how much if you dont mind me askign and where did you get them..

jnarowe - I'll remember the dimable idea.

Ziggy - You're not a reefer unless it is about the tank first :D Thanks I hope the rest of it goes well.

asmodeus - They are made by sunlight supply. I got them from a buddy so I'm not sure how much they are to buy. Speaking of that I still need to send that buddy the money :eek1:

Believe me I am a reefer. My wife and I are going to be building a house in a couple of years, we have picked out the house and already have the land. My first words to her were, "where is my giant tank going?".

I've been very lucky though because my wife has gotten the reef bug lately and has been with me to the LFS several times and is learing the names of corals and fish. Saturday we spent the day fragging together and had a blast doing it. It makes such a difference when you have your spouse/partner behind you and involved!

Eric you are making some great progress. Mannn your fast. This is going to be sweet. The wife will really look back after all this and shell be proud of you..Mine sain she was really afraid and was not able see to my vision but now she is really amazed.

Don't worry man you still got a lot of love out there. Just got caught up had to some furniture shopppin this weekend. This is off to great build...

Excelent progress! Wished that i had room for a fish room! One thing you might consider when you have the electical work done is to use 20 amp circuts its not much more cost than 15 amp stuff....

Ziggy - I know what you mean. That was one of the biggest priorities of buying a home. Wife was on board w/ that too. She knows quite a few corals and more fish then I do. She's a fish person and I'm more corals...good match. It really does make it more worth while if the ladies are on board.

Erics3000 - It doesn't seem fast enough. I feel like I could be doing more progress or faster. Can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm a motivated person and like getting work done. Thanks on the compliments I hope that it turns out well in the end. Get any nice furniture this weekend?

Scuba Dog - Thanks. I probably can't use 20amp circuits as I only have a 100amp panel :( I talked to the guy about electrical today should have time next week to help me tie some lights together and help me place some outlets and stuff to make it code. Need to buy some 14/2 wire and more boxes to be ready

I'm going to rip out all the drop ceiling tonight...hopefully. Good stress reliever at the end of a crazy day.

Anyone have suggestions on what to put around the tank for facing? I don't want to screw it to the tank but I want it to be pretty much flush w/ the corner. I like the look of MojoReefs tank w/ tile on it. Just need to figure this out before I can build the walls that surround the tank so I know how far of an offset to make the walls from the tank.

I guess I could do a 2x4 wall in front of the tank and put a nice tile lip or oak at tank height.
